Filament: spool, gear, melt zone, beadHot end, cut open along the nozzle axisA bed-slinger printing a 64 mm square at 0.2 mm layers. The bed slides in Y, the head in X, and the beam climbs a layer at a time. The gear feeds 1.75 mm filament at about a thirtieth of the head's speed; the heater block melts it and the 0.4 mm nozzle lays it down as a 0.45 mm line. Hover to turn the speed dial: at 300 % the block is melting 98 % of what it can. Filament and nozzle are drawn about 1.4 times true size.
